Writing up Contracts

Hey there all,

I've booked an on going gig with a website company and I need to write up a payment contract of sorts... does anyone have a template that i can work off of. I sort of need this ASAP, they're expecting it tomorrow.

What's standard anyway? 30 days after delivery?? Someone HELP!

Hey there.

I created my own work agreement after I had a client stiff me on an invoice. Pretty simple... I just plug in the appropriate info. No one ever seems to have a problem signing it. I usually have them sign it before any work is started... just so everyone knows what's expected of them.

As far as payment, 30 days is typical. Even 60 days. 90 days is a little long (and a strange billing cycle to have for a business). anything after that is way past due, and you'd be well within your right to charge a late fee. I usually give 30 days plus a week before i send a reminder, then wait another week or 2 weeks before i start the weekly reminders.
