Welcome Jean, from Indianapolis, Indiana

Even though I have yet to get paid, I have it on good authority that some people actually do get paid.

Jean-
Welcome!

People sometimes do pay. Usually, we pay and pay and pay...more equipment, more training, more practice.

But it can be a fun hobby!

George

Hello Jean, and welcome!

Yes, people do get paid for their voices.

But it ain't easy!

Have a look around and you'll see a number of people who book paid gigs, plus a lot of frustration and hard work.

Plenty of good posts out there...

Well Jean, do they pay for our voices. The answer to that one is yes. Let me add though that many of us have posted our brains out on this site and have had little if any success. So, does that mean this site sucks. In no way, what it does mean though is that there are alot of good voices out there. So what do I get for my premium subscription you ask? Its a great place to hone your skillls while trying to get a bite from one of those that will pay. It's worth the price of admission on that point alone at least in my opinion. It also teaches us perseverance and if we listen carefully to the sound of the skilled ones voices and listen to their advice, then we just might get paid for our voice.

Welcome to the sight, look forward to hearing from you,

Craig
Very Happy

Jean,
Welcome to our forum. I agree with all that have responded to your post and wish you well if you plan on getting into this soup.
A few words of warning, don't quit your day job just yet.

Welcome Jean - Yes we do get paid - Competition is tough, but in the end - you are really only competiting with yourself - so focus on doing better every day - persistance is 90& of success... and look at auditions as on opportunity to learn , have fun, and improve... and when you land the job - all the more better.
