Well, so many welcomes and bilingual ones, too -- I feel truly welcomed now!! Thanks everybody!

Where did you go from Taos George? Catch I-25 near Raton and up to intersect with I-70?

Debbie where did you learn Deutsch?

Bernard

I don't know about Debbie, but 4 years of German in high school, which haven't helped me in my travels...where I found that perhaps Spanish would have been a better choice...especially here in Southern California.

Still is nice to dust off the German and take it for a spin when I can.

Good Morning from the Pacific Northwest....2 years in High School, and because I was "Deutsch" the teacher thought I SHOULD know everything and actually had me in tears once! He was so stern and strict!
Herr Tererzisky (spelling?) He called me years later when I was on the radio in Seattle and said, Fraulein Deutsch, is that you? OMG...
My dad was German and Chippewa Indian.

Ich spreche deutsch ein bisschen (sp?). I learned in elementary school, Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers in Atlanta, GA thought it was important...not sure why. Moved on to French in high school (German not offered)...

Hello from Flint, MI!

Bernard-
I took 64 out of Taos then 56 out through Clayton. Beautiful ride through Cimarron Canyon.

Hey remember to teach the high German. Laughing
