Hey crew - I've been watching from afar, and finally decided to throw my hat in the ring. Now all I need is a demo.

Any advice on demo copy? I've got past work, but seems like a demo needs to be very special and to the point.

Thoughts?

folks have found spending time listening to the pro demos on voicebank.com to be very helpful, click on "listen to agency reels" ........ HAT TIP to Scott Pollak for that source....

Welcome from NH, Michelle..

Good idea on voicebank.com - just use snippets of commercials and piece them together? Most of these sound like final versions, with music et al. Should I do that, too?

Looks like they're all about 1 minute - and 6-10 samples of various styles. Am I on track?

I would say you're on track. You might want to have someone coach you as well.... and produce the demo for you...not sure what your background is.

Welcome from sunny Fort Myers, FL!
