Under the current system I have gotten several jobs where I was not within the first 100 to post. I have also not gotten any response at all by being the first to post. It often comes down to, are you the voice they want, will you make it on the short list chosen from the 250 that auditioned.
With 2.0, who knows. One thing is for sure, if you don't post an audition to their request, they wont come hunting you down.
