Hi guys. What is an "Imaging Demo", and where can I find advice on building a mic box? I've gone though piles of stuff on this site na dnot found the answers to either of these things. Thanks again.

I was going to do another demo tonight, but I spent the eveniing moving furniture instead. My neighbour gave me a lateral filing cabinet, and I had to make room for the damned thing. I did need it though, so I'm really not complaining.

Sometime in the next couple of days I will though. Tomorrow is unlikely. I'm one of the 200 people entered into a radio station contest, and the big wing ding is tomorrow night. The prize is a new car, motorcycle, hot tub, home theatre, a shopping spree, a patio set, a massive barbeque grill, and a few more things I can't remember. One person gets the whole shebang! I need the car. My Honda Odyssey has 320,000 kilometers on it. That's a quarter of a million MILES for you Americans. It's beginning to feel it's age... The rest is up for sale. Can you tell I intend to win? It's a draw so there really isn't anything I can do except think positive.

Anyway, new demo soon.

Have a good one.
Terry

Dear Keith:
Thanks for the help. It confirmed that the idea I had for an isolation box would work. The info on the imaging demo was a big help too.

I'm thinking of doing a few of those on spec and pitching them to the stations I listen to online.

Here are Harlan Hogan's instructions (with pictures) for building a "Porta-Booth" . . . a better description is probably "mic box" as you say!

Here are some good examples of Radio Imaging demos:
