When I was pastoring, I wasn't fortunate enough (?) to have those things happen during a ceremony. However, I can easily imagine some of the mothers of the brides and what their reactions would have been.
I don't miss that part of it. Very funny video!

years ago when my son was about 4 years old....he's 19 now. I was still in the military and had just got stationed in Scotland. We were attending church for the first time since moving there....new place...new church. We had just walked into the church building and could hear the sermon in progress down the hall. We approached the swinging double doors to enter quietly into the congregation and not disturb the service in the process.......about 5 feet from the doors, my son bolts toward the doors and bashes them wide open and leaps inside and belts out in the loudest voice you can imagine..."HI, I'M TOMMY!" The service came to an abrupt halt and every head turned toward us....everyone was smiling or laughing, and almost in unison everyone said "hi Tommy, nice to meet you...welcome. even the pastor was laughing. Sorry....had to share that.....needless to say my wife and I were sooooo embarrassed.

| Tom, that sounded like a nice church - able to roll with things and not be all stuffy and fuddy-duddy. Did you return after that?

yeah...that became our regular church....it was a small local Scottish church....about 50 in the congregation and maybe 5 of those were American. My daughter who was about 6 at the time....now 21....became best friends with the pastors 7 year old son.....they are now married and have two children. hahahaha.....they live in Alberta Canada now.

The old lady slapping that guys hand was funny. I was surprise the preacher would try to get the bread out of the cleavage though.
