Ok, Everyone,
At the urging of Scott Pollak, I am posting my Demo du Jour. Blame him if it sucks 
(Get outta here, Scott...I love ya!)
This is to encourage all of you that you just never know. I almost didn't answer this one--- but decided to put forth my best effort and I landed the job! It required me do to the voice of an 80 yr. old African American woman---the sister of a black soldier who was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. I never received the finalized version, but here is the dry voice (which I assume was mixed as banter with another v/o).

Thanks so much, Debbie!
I really am curious as to who got the "other sister", since they were casting two voices for the project. But, like I said, you just never know---when you're thinking of hitting that Delete button, sometimes you just have to say "the heck with it" and go with your gut!
