| Guess I posted in the wrong section for newbies...oh well. I am here now. I need help learning how to make a demo, as in how do I record it on the computer and trnasfer into MP3 format...?! |

Install some good sound editing software. I uses Cool Edit Pro 2.0, though others here may recommend something else.
I also had a lot of problems with other equipment, and got a great deal of help from the others in here in the "Geek" forum, in the "HELPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEE PLEEEEESE" thread. Read that thread....you'll find everything you need in there. |

We're awfully nice around here, Geri; everybody says so.
But your post and your site just shriek RANK AMATEUR to the point where I just don't know what to say.
I mean, sure they'll help at Geek Forum. Certainly we'll critique and suggest and cajole at Demo of the Day. Absolutely, we'll welcome you to the playground.
But really: How do I record?
That's a bit much. It's like walking into Carnegie Hall (OK, OK; off-Broadway, maybe) during rehearsal and asking how to read a script.
Please, Geri...go to a shop and ask some questions. Talk to your computer buddies.
Get a friggin' vague notion, at least.
We'll take you from A to B to C and so on.
But we won't write out the darn alphabet for you. |
