Speaking of the NAB and trade shows. Especially to the v123 staffers, but anyone else. Any good resources (especially on the web) for keeping up on regional/national trade shows? Not just broadcasting like NAB, but also film producers and such? I've not had much luck in finding a good list.

Of course trade shows and conventions are a great resource for VO talents to make new production contacts and spread the demo. (Not had a chance to do it yet since being freelance.)

What's out there?

Thanks,
Todd

Hey Todd!

I'm a VO artist, but also am a producer, and have found that PROMAX is an excellent place to go and network. PROMAX is usually held here in the States in cities such as New York, LA, & maybe Miami. Networks from everywhere attend for workshops as well as awards for various television, documentary, and other mediums.

Hi Todd! Not a lot of trade shows in our industry. I would recommend, as well as Paxton did, Promax: http://www.promax.tv/conferences.asp

Louis: You can get a t-shirt by being a good voice over netizen (as you are showing to be) and then sending me an email to alex at voice123 dot com that includes your address and t-shirt size. I will take care of the rest Wink
