Vic,

I liked it. You certainly have a unique style. That's a good thing.

Vic-
I liked that one a lot. The one thing I noticed though is you did not lead with the word numeros. I thought they specified you had to say that word to start?

So they could just dump em real fast probably.

Anyway, I am keeping a positive outlook for this read...

Got another "Thanks but..." note this morning on my ballpark/chili dog demo. I seem to get one or two of those notes daily now.

Also, just joined 'the other site' today so I"m now on 3 sites. So far I like the interfaces, the file storage size and the SPEED OF THE SITE much better over there. We'll see how many jobs I land, though.

Here's one of the first ones I'm submitting today. They wanted 'gritty'.

Oddly enough Scott,
this came in while I was listening to your post.

Pretty soon, there are going to be more market places than seekers or talents it seems.

The nitty gritty is definitely up your alley, George! I think you did a really good job on that one. My ONLY concern, and it's a small one, is that the lead specified 'no dialect' and you definitely have the twang happenin' BIG TIME in this one. But I'd love to see you get it.

And here's my positive thought for today....

I can't kill the twang yet when I do that raspy thing. I tried a few times, but it was fading in and out. sounded dumber than Hillary Clinton trying to talk southern in Selma, AL.

WOW! Now that's dumb. She took political pandering to a new level with that one.

Not sure if I got me a defective intenet thingy or what, but much of the time the attachments - photos, MP3 files and the such don't show up wiht the posts. I have tried loggin in with both my Atari St and Game Boy and still the same thing. This doesn't seem to be an issue anywhere else I traverse in Cyberspace.

I was tryingto listen to the auditions so I could start out my day feeling superior and can't get the attachments to show up.

What Gives?

Anybody else got this kind of problem.

Okay - I logged in and I can see them. So is it that you can't see the attachments if you don't log in?

By the way - The Arizona Lottery was pretty clear. They wanted a slight Latino accent throughout the spot with a very distinct and full Spanish pronunciation of the word "numeros".

Excuse me J.S.

Were you not aware that George is a Southern Latino?

If not, now you are.

Here's the Molson Canadian one that only I got Razz Just sent in my audition.

DIRECTION:

Male, 25 – 35 years old, very natural, regular guy, slightly cool. Do NOT do a sell job on this. The client hates that! Don’t hit any words, like ‘big’. Get nice and tight on the mic, speak slowly and almost be lazy with the delivery. As if you’ve never been in front of a mic before and you are just speaking to a friend. I cannot stress the fact enough that they don’t want the actors to use a ‘big, deep’ voice and that there should be NO SELL in the read at all. Do as little as possible. Just sound real and friendly. Don’t get big with anything. The volume, the inflection or the delivery and take lots of time with the words themselves. Make sure you smile while you are delivering the copy but don’t let the smile affect the inflection. In other words, put a smile physically on your face and leave it on during the read but don’t get louder or more selly because it is there. It’s just there to make you sound more friendly and approachable.

Scott - There's everything wrong with Peewee Herman... Kind of suites you though! ba ha ha ha j/k j/k Nice picture switch!
